چکیده
The future power system integrated a large share of distributed generation (DG) may causes a reduction of the system rotational inertia, resulting in high frequency variations with any disturbances. An additional rotational inertia will be provided to the system if many DG units combined with relative small storage systems operate like virtual synchronous generators (VSG). This paper presents the demonstration approach for the VSGs in order to bring the VSG models developed in the laboratory into practice at two distribution test sites for both singleand three-phase applications. The results show promising results where changes in frequency and voltage are clearly counteracted by power flows from the VSG. In addition, VSG may provide a solution for hosting a large share of DG in future grids while maintaining system stability.

This paper presents a pattern recognition-based scheme for detection of islanding conditions in synchronous- based distributed generation (DG) systems. The main idea behind the proposed scheme is the use of spatial features of system parameters such as the frequency, magnitude of positive sequence voltage, etc. In this study, the system parameters sampled at the point of common coupling (PCC) w...
متن کاملAn Improved Under-Frequency Load Shedding Scheme in Distribution Networks with Distributed Generation
When a distribution network consisting of Distributed Generations (DGs) is disconnected from upstream network, the system may be exposed to severe power imbalance. In order to prevent the damage of power plants, frequency relays operate and remove DGs from the network. In contrast to traditional methods, the main objective in new methods is to keep DG units in service in the islanded distributi...

Turning to Renewable Energy Sources (RES) is the most logical politics in securing the modern society from critical changes in earth increasing temperature. However, Distributed Generation (DG) sources could lead to new challenges in electricity network, mainly allocation of DG sources in distribution level of power system will set the existing network under stress of power flow parameters. متن کاملBIC based on Modified Droop Control of Hybrid AC/DC Microgrid with PV/Wind/ESS under Variable Generation and Load Conditions
The idea of a microgrid is created by utilizing more diverse ac or dc distributed generation (DG) sources along with an energy storage system (ESS) and loads. The most efficient and reliable selection of ac and dc microgrids is a hybrid ac/dc microgrid. The hybrid microgrid largely overcomes the shortcomings of standalone ac or dc microgrids. A bidirectional interlinking converter (BIC) is util...
